Golden State Warriors v Portland Trail Blazers: Two Key Stats

1. Ten in a row

That’s the streak the Warriors have produced at home after their win over the Blazers. Even more incredibly, those ten wins have all come by double digits, with a lowest winning margin of 13 against the Timberwolves and Rockets.

This win was made all the more impressive given the Warriors were as shorthanded as they’ve been all season, outside of when Curry and Green were absent from the Pistons game. On top of Klay Thompson and James Wiseman, the Dubs were also again without Andre Iguodala, Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody were sent to Santa Cruz, and Damion Lee was out for personal reasons (expecting his first child).

2. Warrior defense remains best in the league

The Warriors swarming defense was again on a show for the majority of the game, keeping the Blazers to just 41.9% from the field. Draymond Green was again the figurehead, recording two steals and three blocks to go with 12 points, eight rebounds and 12 assists.

Lillard and McCollum came into the contest averaging over 42 points per game. The Warriors kept them to a combined 32 points, you do that against the Blazers and a win is almost guaranteed.
