Golden State Warriors most table player: Andrew Wiggins

Do I want Andrew Wiggins traded? No, I do not. However, as he’s having the best season of his career, Wiggins may start to change the stigma around his contract which many dubbed the worst in the league.

Wiggins signed a max-value deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves. A few years following that, the Warriors traded D’Angelo Russell for Wiggins and also acquired the rights to the pick which brought in Jonathan Kuminga among other moving pieces.

It’s been a terrific season for Wiggins who is shooting the best percentage of his career from the field. Wiggins continues to get better, and it’s clear that he’s settling into his role as the team’s second premier scoring threat.

Averaging a hair over 19 points per game, Wiggins should now be attractive for teams looking for a competent scorer. The obvious trade candidate is Ben Simmons, but there are many teams like Washington and Boston that could use another scorer.

Wiggins is playing himself into the trade market, but it still remains unlikely he’s dealt as his fit in Golden State just seems too perfect.
