The good news continues to keep flowing in for Klay Thompson and the Golden State Warriors.

So far this season, the Warriors have been the best team in the NBA. With one more game against the Phoenix Suns coming up, they’ll continue to be tested, but we must remember this team isn’t quite at 100%, unlike Phoenix.

The Golden State Warriors are going to get five-time All-Star guard Klay Thompson back in the near future. He has now been cleared to go 100%.

Thompson, who hit a game-winning shot while scrimmaging with the team’s G-League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, doesn’t appear to have lost a step. However, getting back to his top form could be something not achievable.

After all, Thompson is coming off two season-ending injuries, one a torn ACL and the other a torn Achilles. Not many players can come back at the level they once were, but as we’ve seen with Kevin Durant, the right training can be instrumental in getting a player back to top shape.

Thompson is one of the best three-point shooters of all time.

He’s shot over 40% from deep in each of his eight seasons in the NBA. Couple that with topping 20 points per game in his last five straight seasons, and it’s clear just how crucial of a part of this team he could become.

That said, per CBS SPorts’ Jack Maloney, Thompson is cleared to go 100% which is huge considering what the star guard has been through to get to this point. Thompson’s plan is seemingly to return to action on Christmas Day, against the Suns.

What Thompson will be capable of upon immediate return is unknown. It’s more than likely that he’ll be on a minutes restriction for a while, but how long that would last is also relatively unknown.

Along those lines, the Warriors should be looking to bring back second-year center James Wiseman, who has reportedly bulked up, around that time. The two players coming back would give Golden State, who is already the league’s best team, a nice boost.

With that in mind, fans should have under a month until they’re gifted with the Christmas Day gift of Klay Thompson playing basketball once again.
