Golden State Warriors trade target: Tomáš Satoranský

Last but not we have…. another point guard!

Again, the biggest need this team has is a strong defensive-minded point guard on its second unit. Satoransky, on a failing Pelicans team that has yet to see Zion Williamson play this season, would do just that.

The Pelicans may be willing to part ways with Satoransky rather easily as well. He’s been horrible this season, but he has a good track record of success.

This season, he’s averaging 2.7 points per game and shooting under 35% from the field. The season before he averaged 7.7 points per game and shot over 50% from the field. He’s shot over 47% from the field in his career.

At 6-foot-7, he has good size and would be a welcome addition alongside Poole in the second unit, obviously when Thompson returns.

The lengthy guard should improve if he can get in the Warriors system, as most do. Combine his potential success with his prior success, and there’s reason to believe he’d be a great fit in Golden State. This would be a solid win-win scenario for both sides and the Pelicians.
