Two things we learned

1. Draymond Green is the DPOY

It may be just a quarter of the way through the season, but it’s going to be difficult for anyone to catch Green for the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year. He’s been the architect of the best defensive team in the league this season, against displaying an incredible impact on that end against the Suns.

He was simply everywhere, recording six steals and three blocks all while often playing undersized against DeAndre Ayton. He also added nine points, nine rebounds and nine assists in another signature performance from the 31-year-old.

2. JTA reads Blue Man Hoop

Yes, that may be in jest, but nevertheless, he sure played like he did. Earlier in the day I wrote about how Toscano-Anderson isn’t going to be the difference between the Warriors winning a championship or not. What happens come playoff time remains to be seen, but what I do know is that he was a huge part of this win.

He and Payton II combined for a staggering stat line; 36 points, ten rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks on 14-17 shooting and 4-7 from deep.

The Warriors conclude their back-to-back with a game against the San Antonio Spurs at Chase Center later today.
