After their two-game split with the Phoenix Suns, the Golden State Warriors are back in first place of the Western Conference, tied with Phoenix

They’re the only two teams in the league without four losses. That said, Golden State should be considered title favorites. They’ve been terrific and should continue to dominate, doing all this even without five-time All-Star guard Klay Thompson.

The Golden State Warriors obliterated the Phoenix Suns at home on Friday and, following that, should be considered the favorite to win the 2022 NBA Finals.

The Warriors haven’t had an easy schedule either. They’ve taken down the Bulls and also went into Barclays Center and defeated the Nets. Both of those are good wins over top-tier Eastern Conference foes.

More recently, they took on the Suns, losing to Phoenix in Arizona and then defeating them at the Chase Center.

The Warriors are still going to be returning James Wiseman and Thompson in the coming weeks. Their ability to give the Warriors multiple options both in the starting lineup and bench will be helpful.

That said, the Warriors are currently sitting atop the league and look dominant. With that in mind, let’s dive into three reasons why they should be considered early-season title favorites.
