The formidable Brooklyn Nets

Durant, Harden, and LaMarcus Aldridge have been pivotal in the Nets’ journey to the top in the Eastern Conference. Despite their loss to the Bulls, they have been one of the teams to beat and their next clash against the Warriors will be one humdinger of a game.

As far as statistics go, the Nets beat the Warriors in FT% (they are 80.7 compared to Golden State’s 76.3), and while they may have lost more games than Curry’s team, they have been making waves for putting up scintillating performances.

Patty Mills has been a key player for Brooklyn in Kyrie Irving’s absence. Durant was vocal in his praise for the Aussie Point Guard after their win against the Minnesota Timberwolves that saw him register 23 points.

Per the New York Post, Durant said Mills was “crucial” to the team. “He’s just being aggressive and knocking down shots and providing pace for us.”

“Patty has been great, and we’re asking for a lot from him now with guys being injured. But he’s taken on that challenge, and we’re going to need a lot more from him going forward,” he added.

The Nets are favorites to make the playoffs and their disappointing exit in the second round of the playoffs will see them keen to make amends. The Warriors will look to get the better of the formidable Nets again when they play each other on January 29.
