Golden State Warriors: 4 forgotten veteran point guards to trade for
Golden State Warriors potential target: Tomáš Satoranský
One of the players on a team lower in the standings that may soon look to part ways with veteran talent is Tomas Satoranksy. Without Zion Williamson, the Pelicans, who may have hoped to contend at the start of the season, haven’t been very good.
As for Satoranksy, he first made his name known in the NBA during his time in Washington. The 6-foot-7 30-year-old didn’t have his rookie season till he was 25, so he’s a little behind the ball in terms of his career longevity.
His fit is certainly there. though. Satoransky is a lengthy guard that can play make at a high level. Per 36 minutes, he’s topped over 6 assists in four of his six seasons.
With the Pelicans, Satoransky isn’t getting many minutes, averaging just 15.3 per game. That said, in his career, he’s relatively efficient, another trait the Warriors would like. His career field goal percentage tops 47% which is great for a guard.
Satoransky is on an expiring $10 million deal, so it may be relatively unlikely he’s traded for due to the contract size. However, his efficiency, length, and playmaking make him a solid potential addition for this second unit.
