Stephen Curry can challenge himself by: Winning a third MVP

Stephen Curry already has two MVPs to his name, but if he can continue this type of play, there’s no reason he can’t win a third. Curry, whose Warriors missed the playoffs last season, was a finalist, but it was given to Nikola Jokic.

Joel Embiid was also a finalist. Over the last few seasons, with Giannis Antetokounmpo winning the award a couple of times, it’s clear those voting want to see team success on top of individual success.

Let’s just say the Golden State Warriors stay should end the season with both. The Dubs currently have 23 wins, the most in the NBA.

Individually, Curry is averaging 27 points, 6.3 assists, and 5.6 rebounds. Along with sharing the backcourt with Jordan Poole who has taken a sizeable step as a scorer as well, Curry has taken his leadership to the next level.

With that in mind, what Curry is doing is mimicking the two seasons in which he did win MVP. There’s no reason that, if he can’t keep up this type of play, he wouldn’t win his third MVP, a feat only managed by 8 players in NBA history.
