Golden State Warriors can consider Marc Gasol

There has been a push for the Golden State Warriors to sign Marc Gasol since he hit the market in 2020. While Gasol’s NBA future remains up in the air — we are still pushing this agenda.

Gasol is the best option for Golden State

The 2019 NBA champion does everything the Warriors could possibly ask for from a last-second addition.

Throughout his Hall of Fame career, Gasol has transitioned from a Defensive Player of the Year to a seven-footer worthy of playing in the modern space-and-pace era. He lacks mobility on the perimeter but is a smart enough defender to impact the game in a positive way.

More importantly, Gasol can fit the Warriors’ offense seamlessly. He’s an elite passer for the center position and a capable shooter. He shot above 40 percent from deep last season with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Gasol is an obvious choice to round out the Warriors’ lineup and provide some cushion to their thin frontcourt rotation. He just might be the difference in a future playoff series against Rudy Gobert, Deandre Ayton or Nikola Jokic.
