Golden State Warriors player with most to prove: Juan Toscano-Anderson

The last player is Juan Toscano-Anderon who will battle for minutes with Porter Jr. as Wiggins will be sidelined for several games.

Assuming the games are played, Golden State may be down Wiggins and Poole, their second- and third-best scoring options. JTA isn’t an elite scorer, but he certainly could step up and do what he does best: hustle.

JTA is averaging 4.7 points per game throughout the 29 games he’s been given minutes in. In and out of the rotation this season, JTA has the chance to remind head coach Steve Kerr why he’s still in the league.

His shooting has been down this season, so there’s a need for JTA to showcase his ability to score again as well. The athleticism and passion are clearly there, but with this opportunity, JTA must prove why he’s the preferred player in the rotation.

It will be tough for Toscano-Anderson, but he shot over 40% from deep last season. He’ll need to repeat that in this coming opportunity to keep a long-term role on the roster.
