2 Golden State Warriors primed for big-time minutes due to Covid protocols
Warriors player primed for more minutes: Damion Lee
Notching double figures against the Kings last night, Damion Lee started to show up with Poole out of the lineup. Lee hasn’t had a great season, so he could use these minutes to solidify his spot in the rotation.
Lee scored 14, the second-most points on the team against the Raptors on Saturday.
He continued to thrive against the Kings, and as long as Poole is out, it’ll likely be Lee stepping into the starting lineup. So far this season, he’s shooting just 42% from the field and 32% from deep, both lower than his percentages a season ago.
Lee’s under his career averages in both categories as well. He needs to be better to keep his rotational spot upon Klay Thompson‘s return, and with the big-time minutes he should be given in the near future, the opportunity will be there for him to succeed.
Lee isn’t a great defender and doesn’t do much playmaking for others, so the Warriors need him to be scoring at a high level. This will be his chance to remind everyone that he can do just that.
