Warriors player primed for more minutes: Otto Porter Jr.

A former top-three pick, Otto Porter Jr. has had shaky minutes this season. It’s been an up-and-down season as he’s typically the one behind Draymond Green.

However, he’s also shared that role with Andre Iguodala and Juan Toscano-Anderson. The Warriors will have many players fighting for a rotational spot when Kerr ends up limiting it down to around 8 in the playoffs.

Porter Jr. could be one of them, and it’s his spot to lose. A career 40.1% three-point shooter, Porter Jr. has had success in Golden State, but it’s tailed off as of late. Without Wiggins, he’ll certainly be getting more run in the near future.

If Porter Jr. can capitalize on these moments, he should be able to get himself more minutes. Currently, at just 19.5 minutes per game, Porter Jr. hasn’t seen consistent minutes that low since his second year in the league.
