Golden State Warriors potential trade target: Gary Harris

Another player the Golden State Warriors could target is the Orlando Magic’s Gary Harris.

Since being traded out of Denver, Harris hasn’t really ever gained his swagger back. However, he’s at least back at full strength and playing well for the Magic, a team at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.

Harris is averaging 10.8 points per game this season, shooting 45% from the field. He’s also connecting on 35% of his attempts from deep. At his best, Harris averaged 17.5 points per game and shot 49% from the field.

The potential is there, and Harris is a terrific defender as well which bolsters his upside. Harris would be best served as a backup small forward, bolstering the team’s depth behind two-way stud Andrew Wiggins.

The 6-foot-4 Harris is on the last year of his contract and owed $20 million which virtually destroys the realistic nature of a trade, making the only real potential of it happening in a three-team deal with Wiggins also involved.

However, his improved play, reminiscing of his days back in Denver, make him an interesting target.
