Golden State Warriors potential trade target: T.J. McConnell

Another player the Warriors should at least consider is T.J. McConnell.

McConnell currently plays for the Pacers, a team that seemingly is playing to blow it up if their season goes any further downhill. They have a competent roster, led by Caris LeVert and Domantas Sabonis.

As for McConnell, his primary benefit for the Warriors would be his defensive. Also, the Warriors don’t have a great backup point guard which makes McConnell an even more quintessential addition.

This season, he’s averaging 8.4 points and 4.8 assists per game. He’s also snagging one steal per game. McConnell, given his willingness to pass and defend, would be a welcome addition for Golden State, a team currently giving backup point guard minutes to Chris Chiozza.

With that in mind, trading for McConnell should be something the Warriors consider.
