So far this season, the Golden State Warriors, behind a league-best defense, have been the best team in the NBA. They currently sit atop the Western Conference with a 27-7 record which translates into a .794 win rate.

The combination of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green have again been terrific. With that in mind, it’s been key for the team to get major contributions from the likes of guard Jordan Poole and forward Andrew Wiggins.

The Golden State Warriors are among the best teams in the Western Conference, but there are a few players that could make them even better.

The Warriors, despite their strengths, still have a few weaknesses. The most notable weakness is in their backcourt depth. While the imminent return of Klay Thompson, that will be improved shortly, but even with Thompson, the Warriors don’t have a true backup point guard.

Chris Chiozza is taking care of most of the minutes behind Curry, but he’s been far from the backup that the Warriors wanted. On top of depth behind Curry, the Warriors could use a big man both capable of shooting outside and protecting the rim.

They don’t currently have that in James Wiseman or Kevon Looney. With that in mind, let’s dive into who they should consider trading for from the Houston Rockets, one of the worst teams in the West.
