Rockets player Warriors should trade for: Daniel Theis

Another player the Warriors should consider is center Daniel Theis.

While Theis stands just 6-foot-8, he’s proven to be a competent center. These past two seasons, Theis has even improved his shot from deep, averaging over .8 threes both last season and this season.

On top of that, he’s averaging 5.1 rebounds per game. Averaging 8.7 points and 5.1 rebounds per game in under two-quarters of action is pretty solid numbers. He’s averaged over 8 points per game in under 25 minutes of action in three straight seasons.

While he’s not an elite three-point shooter, Theis could give a better combination of offense and defense than either Kevon Looney, who is used primarily as a rebounder and defender, and Nemanja Bjelica.

Theis, at 29 years old, doesn’t make a ton of sense for Houston to keep around. He isn’t good enough to be a part of their long-term players. They should be looking to trade him, and Golden State at least makes a bit of sense.
