Rockets player Warriors should trade for: Christian Wood

By far the Rockets’ best player, Christian Wood should be on the table for every contender.

He has exactly what most contenders need. A competent three-point shooter that can adequately switch onto smaller guards, Wood would add a new dimension to this team on both ends of the court.

The only foreseeable problem in trading for Wood is that any trade for Wood would also have to include two-way stud Andrew Wiggins.

While Wiggins has played well, it would be tough to say Wood doesn’t deserve at least a look. He’s averaging 17.3 points and 10.7 rebounds per game, the first time in his career in which he’s notching a double-double.

Wood is shooting 47% from the field and is also making 1.7 triples per game. Overall, he’s been a stud, and while his cost may hold them back, what Wood can do on both ends of the court is undeniable and would clearly make Golden State a better team.

With that in mind, giving up Wiggins makes this less likely, but it would still be incredible to see Wood alongside a player like Green.
