Warriors vs. Heat: Two things we learned
1. Warriors non-reliance on Curry
Although we shouldn’t be surprised, given the Dubs have won a number of games this season in spite of below-par Curry performances, there’s still an air of astonishment looking at Curry’s shooting numbers against the Heat (3-17 from the field and 1-10 from three).
It continues to display the incredible depth of this Warriors outfit, along with the high-end talent in Poole and Wiggins who combined for 54 points.
Like great players do, Curry found other ways to contribute, dishing ten assists as others again benefited through the sheer pressure he puts on opposition defenses.
2. Thompson’s imminent return
In more good news for Warriors fans, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski stated, “There’s optimism Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson will make his return vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday”.
Furthermore, after a pre-game shoot around with fellow Warrior stalwarts in Curry and Green, Thompson walked down the tunnel holding up six fingers, an action that signaled he’d return in six days, at least according to many across social media.
