Golden State Warriors: The potential starting five

Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green, James Wiseman

Lightyears ahead, that is how the Golden State Warriors were described when constructing this roster. This potential starting five is the ultimate test of their approach to rebuilding.

We are well aware of how effective Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green can be together. Three championships in five years speak for themselves.

It is also safe to say Andrew Wiggins, at the absolute very least, will serve as a successor to Harrison Barnes. In reality, his 3-and-D presence places him closer to Kevin Durant than Barnes — albeit still a country mile away from the two-time Finals MVP.

But, what about James Wiseman? Is the former No. 2 overall pick capable of being the cherry on top? Can his athleticism make him the final piece to the puzzle?

The rest of the NBA should fear the answer.

A strong sophomore season from Wiseman, one in which he acts as a quality rim protector and finisher in the paint, will mean doomsday for the league.
