Golden State Warriors trade target: Myles Turner

Myles Turner has had an above-average career up until this season, and one could say the Pacers big man is finally hitting his stride.

Though he may only put up 13.2 points per game, Turner has vastly improved his shooting from last season to this current season as he increased it by 4.4% and now shoots with 52.1% from the field.

While he’s always been known as a shot-blocker, Turner’s development on the offensive end of the court is what will make other teams interested in him. The Texas native is really stepping his game up defensively as well.

In 3 of the past 4 seasons, this year included, Turner has led the NBA in blocks per game. He currently is averaging 2.8 blocks per game this season. Likewise, he has also led the league in block percentage those respective seasons. Needless to say, he’s a beast around the paint.

The Warriors’ defense has been hot this season despite the absence of Klay Thompson, and the addition of Myles Turner would expand the depth of the Golden State’s defensive aptitude, especially since no one quite knows what level James Wiseman will return at.
