James Wiseman can be an interior-scoring threat

The Golden State Warriors have not had a reliable big-man who can score in the paint since David Lee. While many have done their job exceptionally, such as JaVale McGee and Andrew Bogut, the dynamic of a true paint-beast like James Wiseman could be a game-changer.

We mentioned Wiseman’s athleticism on defense but this same gift can be used on the offensive end. Flying to the rim for dunks and alley-oop finishes should be his bread and butter. Snatching rebounds and cleaning missed shots is next on the list.

In his rookie stint, Wiseman converted close to 80 percent of his attempts in the restricted area. Some in the business would say that is pretty good. A fourth of his field-goal attempts were dunks and more than 80 percent of his points were assisted.

With Klay Thompson joining the likes of Stephen Curry, Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins, the floor should be more spread than ever before. This means more easy looks for Wiseman.

The best way to generate 3-pointers in the NBA has always been utilizing an inside-out game. The Dubs already have plenty of players who can succeed from the outside — now they need Wiseman to deliver on the inside.
