It’s been a terrific week for Golden State Warriors‘ fans despite the team recently getting destroyed by the Bucks.

On Sunday, they were finally able to see five-time All-Star Klay Thompson play basketball for the first time in 2 and a half years.  Thompson’s return to the court was primed to be one of the season’s highlights. The Warriors crushed the Cavaliers in his return.

The Golden State Warriors, prior to their game Thursday night, had seen Klay Thompson in action twice, one a big-time win and the other a slim loss.

Against the Cavs, Thompson scored 17 points on 18 shots, a showing that also included an epic dunk that officially showed the star guard is back. In his second time on the court, Thompson put up 13 shots and scored 14 points, having played 20 minutes per game.

While everyone wanted Thompson to return and the Warriors are a  better basketball team with him on the court, they had played 38 games this season without him. It’s never going to be a quick or easy transition to welcome back a star.

With that in mind, some players are primed to have their roles changed. Let’s dive into three players that’ll have to adjust to new roles with Thompson back on the court.
