3. Jonathan Kuminga provides efficient scoring

Following the Golden State Warriors’ demoralizing loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, Jonathan Kuminga was granted a bit of extra playing time the next night in Chicago. To say the rookie took advantage of this opportunity would be an understatement.

Kuminga was a raging bull against the Bulls. He stampeded his way to 25 points, finishing 10-12 field goal attempts, mostly at the rim. His tank build allows him to muscle through weaker opponents and spring to the basket with force.

This is not the first time Kuminga has flashed his Giannis-like capabilities of scoring at an efficient rate. His career-high 26 points against Toronto came on 9-of-15 shooting. Notably, Kuminga drilled 4-of-6 attempts from the 3-point line in that game (and 2-of-4 in Chicago).

You can’t get a better look than a shot at the rim. Kuminga is fantastic at taking high-quality shots by utilizing his freak athleticism to get into the heart of the defense and finish over defenders.

He is shooting slightly below 50 percent as a rookie but has given the indication that he can increase his volume without sacrificing much efficiency as a scorer. The more pressure Kuminga puts on the rim — the easier it gets for everyone else.
