Is it worth it for the Golden State Warriors?

Of course, the biggest question of all, are any of these players worth it? It’s hard to tell.

Wood seems to be the most logical fit, along with Turner, but the other veterans could be worth it in the long run if Moody and Wiseman do not pan out. A win-now move at the cost of losing two mid or low-tier NBA players would look pretty damn good in a few years’ time.

On the flip side, what if Moody and Wiseman do become quality assets? They have shown enough promise to remain optimistic, albeit in spurts.

Wiseman has elite rim-runner potential while Moody is the prototypical 3-and-D wing they would be looking for in trades. Waiting a few years for these two to reach their ceiling could be all it takes to win a championship (or multiple).

Trading the young core comes with a bold risk that might be too dangerous to take. If I had to choose — I’d say the Dubs hold off until next year to truly contemplate any moves at the deadline. There is still time to get a better understanding of what the franchise is working with.

Next. Warriors must survive without Draymond. dark
