Golden State Warriors player most likely dealt: Moses Moody

Trending away from the veterans that may no longer be in the rotation, we look at former lottery pick Moses Moody.

Moody, who was taken with the 14th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, could very well be the deciding factor in a trade that brings in a star big man. Moody has had a solid rookie season, although he’s been outshined by fellow rookie Kuminga.

Moody has appeared in 26 games, scoring 2.2 points per game. Moody is shooting 34% from the field. He’s only getting around 7 minutes per game and has spent some time with the team’s G-League affiliate as well.

While it was understood that he’s taken some time to develop, Moody could be the difference in getting a player that could push the Dubs over the top or not. One could think of a Myles Turner-like player being someone that Moody is the difference in.

While the team should still have faith in the long-term potential of Moody, the short-term benefits of adding a Turner-like player could outweigh it.
