Golden State Warriors: Stephen Curry’s odd shooting woes

It’s not concerning — but it is confusing. We are witnessing the worst shooting rut of Stephen Curry’s career.

As always, even a bad month for Curry is full of games that no other player could replicate. He nailed his first career game-winning buzzer-beater over Houston and netted 39 points against Indiana.

Yet, even in his near 40-point explosion, Curry shot just 6-of-16 from the 3-point line and the Dubs lost to a decimated Pacers team. Unfortunately, these performances have become unusually common for the greatest shooter in the world.

Curry began the year on a historic pace. He was making 5.5 3-pointers per game on a blistering 46.6 percent clip during his first 19 games.

In contrast, Curry is making fewer than four per game on just 32.6 percent shooting from deep over his last 19 games. He’s shooting below 30 percent for the month of January.

Law of averages? Whatever it is,  it’s certainly weird watching Curry struggle to find a consistent rhythm for such a prolonged period of time.
