5 questions that will determine if Warriors are title contenders
3) Will Wiseman have any impact at all?
The Warriors’ 2020 2nd overall pick James Wiseman has yet to see the court this season as he nurses a knee injury.
With Kevon Looney as the only true center on the team, the Warriors could really use Wiseman’s help in the post to bang around with opposing bigs.
If Wiseman holds his own on defense and provides a threat on offense (something Looney does not do), then he could raise the ceiling of this team.
If the Warriors want to win a title then they will need their bigs to go toe to toe with players like Giannis, DeAndre Ayton, and Joel Embiid.
The Warriors front office seems to think the answer is Wiseman, but will he be anywhere near ready for playoff intensity basketball after recovering from injury?
If Wiseman has a remotely positive impact, that is a plus. If he comes back rusty, there might not be much he can add to this team as far as improving their title hopes.
