The Golden State Warriors aren’t expected to do much at the 2022 trade deadline.

They currently have the second-best record in the NBA, so in all reality, there really shouldn’t be much they need on a team that’s clear sound all over the court. You don’t have the second-best record and also multiple noticeable flaws as well.

The Golden State Warriors don’t have many trade targets on their wishlist, but these backup point guards would make sense.

Add in that they have three-time All-Star Draymond Green and two All-Star starters to go with the recently-returned Klay Thompson, and it’s easy to understand why they may stay put and opt to keep their assets.

They also don’t have much in the way of cap space to bring in a big-time name without sending one away. I went into how no trade target really made sense a few days ago. That was meant to be more in the area of realistic trade targets that will change the long-term future of the franchise.

However, there’s one very crucial part of their roster that isn’t particularly close to where it should be, and that’s their backup point guard.

They could also use depth at center, but with James Wiseman hopefully set to return in the next month and Kevon Looney’s high-level play, they’re reportedly not targeting a center. That said, let’s dive into 3 targets that do make sense.
