Warriors’ trade target that makes sense: Goran Dragić

The Raptors are currently in play-in tournament position, sitting 9th in the Eastern Conference. The marriage between Dragic and the Raptors is going to end in a divorce more than likely before he takes the court again.

Dragic is a seasoned veteran and one that will play an important role off the bench for a championship-contending team.

The Warriors are just that and could use a player like Dragic to help man their second unit. Right now, at full strength, their second unit will have Jordan Poole and Damion Lee. While both are pure, elite scoring threat, neither is necessarily a top-tier floor general.

Dragic has played in 5 games for the Raptors this season. Last year, with the Heat, he averaged 13.4 points per game. He shot 43% from the field.

Prior to Toronto, the last eight teams Dragic has played on have been better with him on the court. He’s a creator, and with shooters like Poole and Lee, it could be paramount to the team’s bench success.
