Short-term goal: Acclimate all the players to James Wiseman, Klay Thompson

To commence his return, Klay Thompson struggled.

He didn’t find his rhythm for the first several games. Playing alongside many new faces for the first time didn’t help. Through his first six games, Thompson shot just 37.2% from the field. He was shooting 30.2% from deep.

During Thompson’s first few games, the Warriors also didn’t play well. Golden State has since come around with Thompson turning in five triples against the Timberwolves. The Warriors are figuring out how to play alongside the star.

Players like Otto Porter Jr., Jordan Poole, and Andrew Wiggins haven’t had a chance to play with Thompson throughout their careers. With that in mind, the same thing will happen when Wiseman takes the court for the first time.

It should be a goal for Golden State to incorporate these two flawlessly, along with Green who has missed time recently. Having all three playing at a high level will help this team get to their full-strength peak.
