Medium-term goal: Win the 2022 NBA Finals

A goal that’s certainly in the future but not too far in the future for Golden State is to take down the NBA to end the 2021-2022 season. Nobody is telling them they can’t do it either, especially from what they’ve shown this season.

The Warriors have the top-ranked defense, and they also have among the best offenses in the NBA. Golden State has taken down some of the best teams in the NBA — from the Jazz and Suns in the West to the Nets and Bulls in the East.

As noted previously, the Warriors’ experience will also be impactful for their postseason success. This season is going to end as a Finals or bust type year, especially with several multi-time All-Star players along with a two-time MVP on the roster.

Golden State’s depth has also been something to note and should help propel their success. Adding players like Porter Jr., Gary Payton Jr., and Nemanja Bjelica on top of their stars could make a huge difference for them.

The Warriors have proven enough to have those expectations, and anyone who has watched this team shouldn’t feel differently.
