With 4 minutes left in the third quarter against the Houston Rockets, Kevin Porter Jr started chirping at Stephen Curry. Long story short – it didn’t end well for him and his team.

Whatever you do, don’t ever poke the bear.

In a building he’s all too familiar with, and in front of a fanbase he’s terrorized for years – Curry rediscovered his mojo and proceeded eviscerate the Rockets.

The Golden State Warriors, and probably the rest of the NBA, were waiting to see when Stephen Curry would finally erupt again. It happened on Monday night.

In the fourth quarter Curry exploded for 21 points, a career-high for points in a final term – and finished with a 40 ball on 56.5 percent shooting. After a miserable shooting stretch that spanned much of January, Porter Jr chose to poke the bear on the final day of the month. He triggered the psycho in Curry – and woke him up from hibernation in spectacular fashion.

This is a good sign for the Dubs and an ominous one for the rest of the league. Curry might have just snapped out of his slumber as we enter the second half of the season.

Let’s take a look at the recent trends and what this means for Golden State and Curry moving forward.
