Jonathan Kuminga
This seems as good of a time as any for the rookie, Jonathan Kuminga, to get some burn at the NBA level.
His first season with the Golden State Warriors has been a surprisingly strong one as most of us assumed it would take the teenager a little while to grow accustomed to the pros. Nevertheless, he’s proven to be more developed than previously thought.
In a four-game stretch following Green’s injury, Kuminga posted 17.8 points on 50 percent shooting from the field. He attacked the rim with brute force and showed his power as a perimeter defender.
Since then, Kuminga has slowed a bit. He was pulled from the starting lineup and played an average of roughly 10 minutes in his last three games.
Still, this continues to be the best opportunity for Kuminga to grow.
