Golden State Warriors: A team capable of defending home court

On top of playing for each other and defending at a high level, the Golden State Warriors play extremely well on their home court, and that will bode well as they should have home-court advantage for at least the first two playoff series.

So far this season, the Warriors are 24-4 at home, the best win percentage on their home court throughout the league.

As noted before, they also step their defense up at home. They feed off the energy at the Chase Center, and that’s opposite what teams like New York and Brooklyn, organizations with a sub-.500 record at home, can say.

Golden State has a 46.6% field goal rate on the season, and that improves to 47.4% from the field at home. Having that advantage will help them immensely when they’ll need it most in the postseason.

The Warriors have been unstoppable on their home court throughout the past few seasons, and throughout their dynasty, that’s helped them take their game to the next level. I expect the same will be said of this team when the season’s over.
