The Golden State Warriors will be sending three players to the All-Star game this year, but the team they play on has yet to be decided. The NBA All-Star game draft has now become commonplace each February.
In one of the most unique events in all of sports, LeBron James (West) and Kevin Durant (East) will each captain a team and select their rosters on February 10th.
The Golden State Warriors will watch two of their own get drafted for the All-Star Game rosters, and here is how it might shake out.
The draft will begin with James getting the first selection of starters due to him being the highest vote-getter. After all the starters are selected, Durant will then get the first selection amongst reserves.
This will be very interesting to see if Stephen Curry can team up with Durant like their time in Golden State or if James will draft Curry again. Unfortunately, Draymond Green can not play in the game so he will not be a part of the draft.
The picks will alternate each round until all players are selected. Here is a reminder of the player pool.
*Note* Durant will not play in the game so Jayson Tatum will replace him as a starter.
Without further ado, let’s dive in to see how this draft may shake out.
