First Round (Starters)

Team LeBron (1st overall)- Giannis Antetokounmpo, Forward, Milwaukee Bucks

LeBron selected Antetokounmpo with his first-pick last year, and his team won the game with Giannis winning the MVP. I expect him to take a similar approach this year.

Team Durant (2nd overall)- Stephen Curry, Guard, Golden State Warriors

Durant mentioned in an interview that after last year’s loss in this game his “GM skills are being questioned.” With that being said I expect him to take his former teammate and best-shooter in basketball, Stephen Curry.

For the 8th time, Curry will be an All-Star as he continues to add to his Hall of Fame resume.

Team LeBron (3rd overall)- Joel Embiid, Center, Philadelphia 76ers

Embiid is the current betting favorite to win NBA MVP and his dominance has been on display all year. LeBron usually takes the best player available, and with the 3rd pick that would be Embiid.

Team Durant (4th overall)- Ja Morant, Guard, Memphis Grizzlies

In a game that is mostly guard-dominated, Durant picks up the electrifying Ja Morant to join his team. Morant is the favorite for the Most Improved Player of the Year and he will play hard in his first all-star game.

Team LeBron (5th overall)- Trae Young, Guard, Atlanta Hawks

The fact of the matter is, team LeBron needed a guard and Young was the best one available. No, he is nowhere near as good as Jokic, but LeBron cannot trot out two centers and two forwards in his lineup, or can he? We will soon find out.

Team Durant (6th overall)- Nikola Jokic, Center, Denver Nuggets

The reigning league MVP falls into the lap of Durant. This would be the steal of the draft if Jokic does indeed fall to 6th. He can pass, shoot, rebound and help team Durant get the win.

Team LeBron (7th overall)- Jayson Tatum, Forward, Boston Celtics

Voted as a reserve, Tatum gets the start for the injured Durant. Team LeBron selects Tatum here looking to add one of the future stars of the league to finish off his starting lineup.

Team Durant (8th overall)- DeMar DeRozan, Guard, Chicago Bulls

DeRozan has played like an MVP candidate so far this year and his Bulls are amongst the top of the Eastern Conference. The mid-range master joins team Durant.

Team Durant (9th overall)- Andrew Wiggins, Forward, Golden State Warriors

Durant gets the last two picks amongst the starters because he will be unable to play in the game.

So to finish off his starting lineup he adds the first-time All-Star Andrew Wiggins. The surprise starter undoubtedly belongs in the All-Star game and it will be great to see him play in the place that drafted him, Cleveland.
