Goran Dragic is not an ideal target for the Golden State Warriors

A surprising name that has been linked to the Golden State Warriors is Goran Dragic. The veteran guard could help but is he really the type of target the Dubs should be eyeing?

Pros

Let’s start with the positives.

Dragic is only two years removed from leading the Miami Heat in scoring en route to an NBA Finals berth. He’s a dynamic playmaking guard who can reliably create his own shot at any time.

There is much to love about Dragic’s game even as he gets older and he would be a quality floor general in the second unit.

Cons

However, do the Warriors need a ball-handler on the bench?

We’ve already mentioned why Jordan Poole is more than enough to carry this responsibility. Unlike Schroder, Dragic is 35 years old and possibly past his days of being a consistent scorer.

The Dubs do not need a secondary creator badly enough to warrant cutting anyone on the roster for Dragic.
