The Golden State Warriors have had a total of three lottery picks in the last two NBA drafts. There has been controversy on whether or not they should have packaged those young players in a deal for a more experienced, All-Star-caliber player.

This is due to the core of the roster, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, being in the primes of their careers and not necessarily having time for another rebuild of the roster.

The Golden State Warriors, behind Steve Kerr and Bob Myers, have constructed a roster both set to win the near-term and long-term future.

However, with players like Washington guard Bradley Beal and Portland guard Damian Lillard voicing their intentions of staying with their respective organization, the Warriors drafted James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga, and Moses Moody.

In doing so, they now find themselves with a healthy mix of veterans and young promising talent, and it could be what saves their franchise from that discouraging rebuilding phase we saw during the early Stephen Curry years.

Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green have shown no signs of slowing down. These three players were the driving force of Golden State’s historic run of three NBA Championships in five years, and now they are gearing up in hopes of doing it again.

That said, let’s dive into both the current and distant future is bright for the Warriors.
