Integrate James Wiseman

It is still uncertain when exactly James Wiseman will make his sophomore debut but things appear to be trending in the right direction.

Wiseman competed in his first five-on-five practice since 2020 and should hopefully be able to hit the floor sometime in the next few weeks.

Once he comes back, there will only be roughly 20 games remaining for the young center to put one foot in front of the other and carve out his role with the team.

It feels obvious the best path to success for Wiseman is keeping it simple. He’ll need to use his physical gifts to become a rim running big who can block shots and finish easy dunks.

Of course, this is easier said than done. We saw how out of place Wiseman looked at times last season and the Dubs can’t afford to have him struggle once again with a potential championship on the line.
