It’s that time of the year when title contenders are separating themselves from the pretenders. For the Golden State Warriors, a few pending factors have them in purgatory.

No one would be wrong to slate the Dubs as one of the favorites to win the championship. After all, they’ve been one of the best team’s in the NBA all season long.

Yet, their initial grip over the league has loosened quite a bit as the year goes on. They opened the season with the best record in the NBA but have gone 16-11 since January, just the 11th best in the league.

The Golden State Warriors have a few things hanging in the balance that have the potential to drastically alter their ceiling.

Before anyone can really feel confident in picking the Warriors to win it all, we’ll have to see how a few important factors play out. The uncertain status of three key players is something no one can overlook.
