Draymond Green’s return

No matter what you think of the Golden State Warriors, we can all acknowledge that they will not be claiming a championship trophy at the end of the season if Draymond Green is not in the lineup.

Green has played roughly 70 minutes of NBA basketball since the New Year and the Dubs hold a 14-10 record since his departure. Golden State is 28-6 in all other games Green has appeared in (15-12 without him overall this season).

The gears don’t turn the same when Draymond isn’t on the floor. He provides a sense of direction on offense with his timely playmaking and irreplaceable chemistry with Stephen Curry — and is perhaps the greatest defensive leader of the last decade.

Draymond has been on the sideline with a slipped disc issue in his back. He returned to practice for the first time a few days ago and appears to be on track for a return in March. Once this happens, the Dubs can truly get to work building a contender.
