Michael Carter-Williams offers versatility to Golden State Warriors

Much like Dante Exum, Michael Carter-Williams is a guard with size that can bring a shade of playmaking and defense to a Golden State Warriors team desperate for a change of pace.

Pros

MCW has always been a skilled ball handler at 6’6″ who can create for others. The former Rookie of the Year dishes an average of 4.4 assists for his career.

More importantly, he plays both ends of the floor. Carter-Williams can use his length to stimy opponents and is a triple-double threat when given enough playing time due to his knack for rebounding.

Last season, Carter-Williams averaged 8.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists with the Orlando Magic.

Cons

Consistency has been an issue for MCW. He is a flawed shooter and lacks the athleticism to be much of a scoring threat.

Nevertheless, he’s a semi-polished distributor who can elevate the Warriors on defense. He might be worth a shot.
