Andrew Wiggins needs to be aggressive

Since joining the Golden State Warriors, Andrew Wiggins has had the reputation-changing luxury of being able to pick and choose when he is going to seek out his own shot. Now would be as good a time as ever for Wiggins to ramp up the aggression.

Steve Kerr told NBC Sports that the plan is for Wiggins to be more assertive on offense with Stephen Curry on the sidelines.

Wiggins has mostly been relied on for his defense this season but there is a direct correlation between Wiggins’ offensive success and the team’s success. The first-time All-Star has scored 20+ points in 17 games this season with the Warriors going 13-4 in those games.

Unfortunately, Wiggins has been in a rut since the All-Star break. He’s averaging just 14.1 points on 31.9% 3-point shooting over his last eight outings. Whether or not Wiggins can break out of this slump will have determine how the Warriors fair without Curry.
