The Golden State Warriors were forced to shut James Wiseman down as the second-year center didn’t play a game this season.

With the Warriors in desperate need for size and Wiseman’s progress clearly behind track, Golden State may at least consider trading the 20-year-old. The Warriors initially took Wiseman with the second pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

The Warriors have an ever-closing window to win an NBA Championship, and trading James Wiseman may get them a few inches closer to being title favorites.

For the next few seasons, the Golden State Warriors are going to be capable of competing for a title.

Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, when together with Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins as well, create one of the best five-man units in the NBA. There are some problems with the Warriors though, and one of them stems from their lack of size.

The Warriors do not start or give heavy minutes to any players above 6-foot-9. It was hopeful Wiseman would erase that flaw, but his inability to get on the court and then showcase his talent has been an issue.

With two team options left on his rookie contract, it might be time to part ways with the center and bring in a player more prone to helping the Dubs succeed immediately. That said, let’s dive into 3 centers the Warriors should consider trading for this offseason.
