Player the Warriors should trade Wiseman for: Christian Wood

There is still so much unknown about Wiseman which could make this trade intriguing for a team in rebuild mode like Houston. Wiseman could grow with the young core of Kevin Porter Jr. and Jalen Green. Now, if Houston would depart with Wood isn’t known.

As with Big Val, the fit is there as Wood averages 17.9 points per game and also knocks down 1.9 triples per game. Being able to space the court as DeMarcus Cousins did for a short stint during the 2018-2019 season is ideal. Wood shoots 39% from deep.

He’s only 26 as well which makes him a better long-term addition and a player that could be featured alongside Jonathan Kuminga and Jordan Poole for the long-time future.

Wood’s scoring has decreased from 21 per game a season ago, but his three-point shooting, rebounding and assist numbers have taken a small jump which is a positive for a potential role on the Dubs.

Wood is owed just $14.3 million next season, making him a perfect fit and a quintessential trade target for the Warriors if they choose to part ways with Wiseman.
