No. 3 – The 2016 Western Conference Finals.

The Warriors entered the playoffs with a 73-9 record. They continued this hot streak in the first two rounds of the playoffs, only losing two of their ten games against Portland and Houston.

The Western Conference Finals were a different story. They face the Thunder who had a great roster including Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook who had missed the playoffs the year prior due to injuries.

The Thunder would explode to win three of the first four games, including two 20+ point wins, putting the Warriors on the brink of elimination.

With nothing to lose but everything to gain, the Warriors played an incredible all-around game with five players scoring in the double digits. Stephen Curry’s incredible 31 points, six assists, seven rebounds, and five steals would lead Golden State to a victory in game five.

This incredible game set up game six. A game where a legend is born. Game Six Klay took over. Thompson was automatic from everywhere on the floor. He would score 41 points with eleven made three-pointers.

Thompson’s other-worldly performance mixed with another 31-point near triple-double with two steals from Curry led the Warriors to their second consecutive victory.

In game seven the offense mostly took a backseat as this game was a story of defense. The two juggernaut teams combined to only score 184 points throughout the entire game.

Although Kevin Durant scored a ridiculously efficient 37 points that night, Curry was just too much for the Thunder to handle.

Curry would score 36 points while also dropping eight assists and five rebounds. During this game, Curry had shooting splits of 54% from the field, 58% from three, and did not miss a free throw.

This string of monster games from the MVP led the Warriors to their second consecutive Finals appearance.
