Player that could make-or-break Warriors: Klay Thompson

The Warriors were able to bring Klay Thompson back a little after expected as their start to the season was so strong they didn’t necessarily need him to keep winning.

However, Thompson, without a doubt, gets them to that next level on both ends of the court. Thompson hasn’t played well for a good chunk of the season, but he’s starting to heat things up at the right time.

Thompson is averaging 24 points per game over his last 11, having scored 30 or more in 2 of his last 4. In those games, he hit at least 50% of his shots, but over the 11-game span, he’s shooting just 42.6%.

Thompson’s efficiency is going to be what matters the most, and they’re going to need him to continue the consistency that’s made him a five-time All-Star guard. This is set to be Thompson’s first season shooting under 40% from deep.

He’s been that good over the course of his career, and the Warriors are going to need that type of play from him. If Thompson is at his best, there’s not a doubt in any fans’ mind that they’re a title contender.
