2 – Will Jonathan Kuminga make the cut?

Albeit a young and inexperienced rookie, Jonathan Kuminga has been weighing heavy on the minds of this coaching staff. Can the teenager earn playoff minutes for a team with championship aspirations?

My answer is, why not?

Kuminga has done all you could have asked from him at this point. He’s a sensational prospect with high-end potential that has mostly been hindered by his role with a competitive team. There is a serious argument to be made that Kuminga would be in contention for Rookie of the Year had he been drafted elsewhere.

Now, this doesn’t mean the Warriors have slowed his development. It’s quite the opposite. Playing next to elite defenders like Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins has allowed Kuminga to sprout defensive talent of his own.

He’s young but Kuminga is a wrecking ball on both ends of the floor. His brute force is worth utilizing in the playoffs, especially when the Warriors are so pressed for size.
