The Golden State Warriors aren’t exactly peaking but they are hitting key notes as the NBA Playoffs are set to begin on Saturday, April 16.

The NBA Playoffs are upon us and the Golden State Warriors are heading into the postseason with high spirits and revitalized strength.

Golden State finished the regular season 53-29, marking their first 50+ win season since 2019.

While things felt like they were starting to crumble in March, the Warriors rattled off five consecutive wins down the stretch of the season to get themselves back on track for the playoffs.

Behind these wins were a few favorable breakthroughs. First, Jordan Poole has arrived as something more than a typical sixth man — he’s thrust his name deep into the Most Improved Player conversation by averaging over 26 points per game as a starter in Stephen Curry’s absence.

Then, there is Klay Thompson, who has made it clear to the NBA world that he is back. He scored 41 points on the final night of the season. In total, Thompson finished the year by scoring 30+ points in four-of-six games.

Over his last 11 games, Klay averaged 27.3 points on 41.9% 3-point shooting, looking much like the former All-NBA caliber shooting guard we have come to know and love.

Meanwhile, Kevon Looney completed his iron man season by playing all 82 games for the Dubs, Jonathan Kuminga continued to prove he is worthy of playing key minutes, Andrew Wiggins began shooting better and Draymond Green made a successful return to the floor after months on the sideline.

All of this and Curry isn’t even back on the floor yet. The two-time MVP is expected to return for round one of the playoffs but no official announcement has been made.

Either way, the Warriors are rolling into the playoffs behind some timely breakout performances and a familiar Splash Brother making his grand return to stardom.
